​The workshop gives an overall vision of the art of lighting and its related functions from a technical and stylistic point of view. Students will learn theoretical data and awareness about the lighting design field and new technologies, with a practical outcome that will help them develop a personal design language to conform to the requirements of the visual task.

This jewelry-making workshop is part of the Memory Matrix project, exploring possibilities of future heritage creation, employing new fabrication techniques and transcultural collaborations. This workshop by Mieke Meijer and Roy Letterlé explores how heritage can be a significant resource for designers in order to develop unique, recognizable, relevant and meaningful designs that will stand the test of time. The works of Studio Mieke Meijer start from constructions and architectonic shapes to form alternate spatial structures where the interplay between space and user are central.
