Design thinking is the process in which an idea becomes a reality. The talk by the founder of Jobedu, Tamer AlMasri, will discuss the design process adopted by Jobedu, and the different variables taken into consideration while developing design direction.

This talk breaks the boundaries between disciplines by showcasing examples of not only the value of research-based design, but also how different disciplines can work together through a supra-disciplinary approach on architecture, urban and other design issues.

Sounds of Design is a sound exhibition that highlights the processes of creation across a number of design fields. An immersive space with a carefully designed speaker system takes visitors on a journey through the sounds of materials, machines, human interactions, and other components that go into the creation of a design product, whether an item of furniture, piece of clothing, or an aesthetically pleasing dish.

An exhibition displaying the products created and designed by “Disarming Design from Palestine", an inclusive design label that presents useful products from Palestine. Based in Ramallah, the program unites Palestinian crafts communities with contemporary designers and artists from Palestine with Masters students from the Sandberg Institute in Amsterdam to exchange knowledge, experiences and techniques.

‘Lines of Memory’ is a jewelry and art collection inspired by longevity and strength of the olive tree. Visitors will have the chance to share their opinions, learn about the design process and the various techniques used.

Visit ‘Love on a Bike’ to participate in solving a 2000-piece jigsaw puzzle of one of Rima Malallah’s paintings. After a week of communal puzzle solving, a time-lapse video of the group effort will be created and shared online.

The daily workshop takes participants of all ages through the A to Z of designing and printing on apparel using digital printing techniques.

The exhibition presents a number of mixed media works that depict what the artist regards as precious instruments of manipulation control and systematic permeation of culture. Fun Engineering is a 90-minute workshop addressed to children from 8-12 years old. In this workshop, children will create their own design models and will learn the basics of design and engineering.

As of 2017, Jordan still does not have a nationwide household recycling program. This exhibition aims to highlight the large amount of waste created on a daily basis throughout the country, and seeks to create awareness about the importance of properly recycling, reusing, and disposing of waste.

Gallery 35 is a physical embodiment of an architect’s experiences and his acquaintances with land, light, stone and everything in between ever-changing shades and shadows. Gallery 35 exhibits ten structures that project shadows onto their surroundings, creating dynamic light formations that reveal the necessity of everyday learning.

Raya Kassisieh creates a socially fueled spatial installation between fiber and clay.
