About the Exhibition

Gallery 35 is a physical embodiment of an architect’s experiences and his acquaintances with land, light, stone and everything in between ever-changing shades and shadows. Gallery 35 exhibits ten structures that project shadows onto their surroundings, creating dynamic light formations that reveal the necessity of everyday learning.

About Dr. Farouk Yaghmour

Dr. Farouk Yaghmour established Yaghmour Architects in Amman in 1982. By 2003, he established a branch in Sharjah, Bethlehem and Dubai. Regionally recognized for his culturally conscious work, he has contributed immensely in creating public awareness towards historical, cultural and urban sites, and supported public participation generating specific solutions. Yaghmour has produced several publications that tackled architectural, environmental, urban planning and other issues. Yaghmour was the founder and chairman for the Department of Architecture at Petra University, and a lecturer at the Department of Architecture and the Faculty of Engineering at Jordan University and an industrial professor at the German Jordanian University.
