Young innovators from Eureka Tech Academy are displaying their innovative tech-projects and the process that they went through to reach the final working prototype.

This accessories making workshop introduces participants to the traditional art of loom weaving. Mastered by Bedouins for hundreds of years, loom weaving is a craft used by tribes to make beautiful functional and decorative pieces. Each Bedouin tribe has its own tradition in the designs used; each pattern on a rug or tapestry tells unique story belonging to that tribe. Participants in the workshops will apply similar weaving techniques to make their own unique beaded bracelet. A modern take on an old tradition, this workshop aims to keep the tradition of loom weaving alive.

This year, Wajha introduces their concepts, experiences, and work to children, giving them a chance to learn the basics of designing a logo for a shop. Hussein Alazaat and Ali Almasri provide tools such as assisted stickers of generic icons and illustrations for different types of shops to encourage children to create their own designs, using markers and colors on blank blueprints.

Following the development of her approach in the first iteration of “A Pattern Language” in Beirut, Grace Aaraj leads this multidisciplinary workshop to analyze the city of Amman, targeting the issue of pedestrianism. The participatory outcome of the workshop is a documented guide to better approach our city and – later on – affect it.

The workshop provides an introduction to 3D Printing and its technologies and where and how this technology is used on a global scale.

This workshop will teach participants how to make folk instruments Shababa and Nay from local resources at a minimal cost. Participants will also learn about the popular heritage of musical instruments, the Dabkeh and its relationship with folk music, and folk music’s role in social life and culture.

The "Lightweaver" workshop is part of the "Design for a Nomadic World" exhibition, which explores how art, architecture and design can address the emotional, cultural and aesthetic needs of refugees, while fostering a better cross-cultural understanding and a social cohesion between migrant and host communities.

This workshop allows children to create characters using clay that they can bring to life with a camera, and will enhance children’s motor skills and introduce them to the mechanics of filmmaking and STEAM learning concepts.

Taking place at the Children’s Museum Jordan’s Tinker Lab, this workshop is designed for children to tinker with old toys and transform them into new creations. Each participant will choose a toy, deconstruct it, and then reconstruct it again to create an new invention.

Immersive Spaces provoke curiosity and encourage connectivity. Humans by nature are naturally drawn to experiences that engage the senses, because we construct and deconstruct through our senses and emotions. When attempting to convey an educational message through a physical space it is important to understand the different layers involved in the project.

Visit ‘Love on a Bike’ to participate in solving a 2000-piece jigsaw puzzle of one of Rima Malallah’s paintings. After a week of communal puzzle solving, a time-lapse video of the group effort will be created and shared online.

The daily workshop takes participants of all ages through the A to Z of designing and printing on apparel using digital printing techniques.
