About the Workshop

This furniture design workshop focuses on understanding the different design genres, that are essential in relating the product to the proper context.

Without an association to represent designers and offer them tools and resources to grow, designers continue to be an unheard voice. This workshop seeks to establish the groundwork for an association of designers in Jordan – one that helps advance design as a profession, provides tools and resources to designers country-wide, and establishes design as a key force in society.

This workshop introduces participants to different tools and wire techniques and will result in the creation of wearable pieces. As part of inamullumani’s objective of supporting the empowerment of women, training workshops related to capacity building and technical skill development have been offered.

The workshop will present a pilot project for public schools developed by The Center for the Study of the Built Environment (CSBE) and teach basic participatory design applications for working with youth. Participatory design secures user buy-in, generates creative solutions that are tailored to the needs of communities, and is a significant contributor to relevant placemaking.

Oasis500 and Finnegan, an international intellectual property law firm, are hosting a session on IP to raise awareness among designers on what is patentable, the different types of patents and how designers can protect their work.

For beginners and novices in 3D printing and 3D modeling, this interactive workshop is an introduction to the basic key concepts that build the foundation for innovation with 3d printing. Faisal Nemri is a 3D printing hobbyist and Maker, who currently works as the Mixed Dimensions Marketing researcher for both its products MakePrintable and GamePrint.

Fusion 360TM is a 3D CAD, CAM, and CAE tool that connects the entire product development process in a single cloud-based platform. This workshop covers how to using Fusion360 to design furniture models. Participants will simulate models with both stable and dynamic joints, and transform their 3d models using a 3d printer.

Audio training courses introduce basic concepts, technologies, and their application in recording studios and sound reinforcement systems.

This workshop is aimed at those interested in learning the basics in dining event design and table top design. The workshop encourages participants to find creative ways to set table the table using the limited means found at home. Participants will learn the basics of assembling floral arrangements and table-top designs.

What makes a vision compelling?

We surround ourselves with products that are mostly static, while in nature everything always moves. In this workshop participants learn from low-tech, craftsmanship techniques and understand how to use them for creating a dynamic design – creating an evolution out of the static and towards fluid motion.
