Inspired by Congo Square in New Orleans, THE COLOR EXPERiMENT redesigns Blue Fig Underground to focus on the musical heritage and to pay cultural tribute to an underground subculture that tells a story of liberation. Serving upscale street food and alternative entertainment, this space offers an experience beyond mainstream culture.

This workshop facilitated by Razan Jilani and Jude Abdelhadi teaches participants how to use the world’s most popular graphics and photo editing software. The workshop will explain the various features and tools of Adobe Photoshop CC, increasing participants’ ability to understand and retain the information they need to use the software.​

This talk by Shifa’a Al-Khatatbeh, addresses the importance of sustainability in buildings, the concepts and applications of Green Building and Rating Systems (LEED, JGBG). The talk will end with a discussion of a case study on the Izzat Marji Headquarters.

An exhibition displaying the products created and designed by “Disarming Design from Palestine", an inclusive design label that presents useful products from Palestine. Based in Ramallah, the program unites Palestinian crafts communities with contemporary designers and artists from Palestine with Masters students from the Sandberg Institute in Amsterdam to exchange knowledge, experiences and techniques.

This exhibition explores ideas of home, delving into the meaning of place and home in an age of forced migration and immigration – of home as an internal orientation where the idea of belonging to a place may no longer exist.

Seeking out the handmade, this interactive exhibition reveals the human touch. The objects on display are the result of a 10-week collaborative effort which brought artisans and designers residing in Jordan together to explore the roots of the design process and the drive behind creating objects with meaning.

Immersive Spaces provoke curiosity and encourage connectivity. Humans by nature are naturally drawn to experiences that engage the senses, because we construct and deconstruct through our senses and emotions. When attempting to convey an educational message through a physical space it is important to understand the different layers involved in the project.

The three-day workshop aims to briefly go through the fashion design process from design to making, to realise one design in three-dimensional form. Through discussions and exercises, students will be shown how to research a theme, develop it into a capsule collection of basic elasticated waist skirts, and how to pattern-cut and construct their final chosen skirt.​

‘Lines of Memory’ is a jewelry and art collection inspired by longevity and strength of the olive tree. Visitors will have the chance to share their opinions, learn about the design process and the various techniques used.

Participants of this workshop will receive an introduction to basic garden design, and will be asked to come up with an abstract drawing that will be transformed into a garden plan. Participants will learn a simplistic method of transforming shapes into garden areas and plans.

Visit ‘Love on a Bike’ to participate in solving a 2000-piece jigsaw puzzle of one of Rima Malallah’s paintings. After a week of communal puzzle solving, a time-lapse video of the group effort will be created and shared online.
