In partnership with Zikra Initiative and under the supervision of Husam Manasrah, a collection of patchwork by women from Jdeta Village will be exhibited. The Arabic term JODL has been long used as the common word for the traditional sitting mat in Palestine and Jordan, made from patches of fabric and old clothes, forming a variety of colors, designs and sizes commensurate with its use.

The ‘A Chair Tale’ exhibition uses a common household item – the chair – as a lens from which to tell a story about identity and material culture. The exhibition features myriad chairs of diverse upholstery, shapes and styles, each with their own story to tell. In this exhibition, the chairs represent these shared experiences and stories.

Gallery 35 is a physical embodiment of an architect’s experiences and his acquaintances with land, light, stone and everything in between ever-changing shades and shadows.
