About the Workshop

Learn how to photograph art products using creative ideas and techniques with an easy portable studio setup, using a camera or a cellphone to help promote products on all visual media networks. The workshop will be held at Darat Al Tasweer studio, with a setup ready for participants to explore, bring their own products and test their new skills. The techniques will cover the challenges of shooting reflective objects, adding props, creative lighting setup and use of available light.

About Linda Al Khoury

Linda Al Khoury was fascinated by photography as a child and began taking pictures when she was given her first 110mm compact camera. In 1998, Linda took her first course in black and white photography followed by special studies in 2002 at The Saint Spirit University in Lebanon. Linda Al Khoury established Darat Al Tasweer in 2007. She works as a professional photographer specialized in architecture while also dedicating time for her passion for the art of documentary photography and teaching. In 2013 Linda established Fann Wa Chai 'Art Gallery & Tea Bar' a cultural space in Amman that aims at engaging the public with arts and culture.

About Darat Al Tasweer

Darat Al Tasweer is a specialized center, established in 2007, that provides photography courses and workshops, and hosts exhibitions, competitions and trips. Engaging all photography lovers, Darat al Tasweer aims to introduce the art and craft of photography and its new technologies to amateurs and professional photographers in Jordan. It has developed to become a creative space dedicated to the art of photography in Jordan, offering various learning and participation opportunities at international exhibitions and competitions.
