In an investigation that spans the globe, filmmaker Sue Williams investigates the underbelly of the electronics industry and reveals how even the smallest devices have deadly environmental and health costs.

Facilitated by the women of the Association of Iraq Al Amir Women, this hands-on workshop teaches students how to create useful and decorative ceramic molds from the casings and shells of various fruits. Kids will also learn how to color the molds using a specific technique. The molds can then be painted and transformed into decorative home accessories or bowls.

This workshop teaches the basics of the art of Origami, and how to create different shapes and designs using Origami paper and recycled magazines and newspapers. Through the sessions, participants will learn soft skills like time management, teamwork, problem-solving skills and creativity. ​

The tour will meet at Darat Al Tasweer in Jabal Al Lweibdeh for a short introduction about storytelling and documentation through images, then will head to the Amman Design Week main exhibition area, documenting the exhibition and visitors.

An exhibition displaying the products created and designed by “Disarming Design from Palestine", an inclusive design label that presents useful products from Palestine. Based in Ramallah, the program unites Palestinian crafts communities with contemporary designers and artists from Palestine with Masters students from the Sandberg Institute in Amsterdam to exchange knowledge, experiences and techniques.

This exhibition explores ideas of home, delving into the meaning of place and home in an age of forced migration and immigration – of home as an internal orientation where the idea of belonging to a place may no longer exist.

The three-day workshop aims to briefly go through the fashion design process from design to making, to realise one design in three-dimensional form. Through discussions and exercises, students will be shown how to research a theme, develop it into a capsule collection of basic elasticated waist skirts, and how to pattern-cut and construct their final chosen skirt.​

‘Lines of Memory’ is a jewelry and art collection inspired by longevity and strength of the olive tree. Visitors will have the chance to share their opinions, learn about the design process and the various techniques used.

The exhibition presents a number of mixed media works that depict what the artist regards as precious instruments of manipulation control and systematic permeation of culture. This is revealed through a simple process of importation and exportation – an almost transfusion of sorts that conceals larger or perhaps more ominous aspects than what actually meets the eye.

Our current historical moment is suspended between polarizing speed and stillness. Speed has become a part of a world full of conflict, and has multiplied and expanded.
