The Hangar Exhibition
The premise of The Craft District is to exhibit the works of entities and individuals who create products with their own hands; items that usually have tiny differences between them when replicated, which gives them a sense of uniqueness.
The appropriately-titled Limited Addition creates unique handmade paper products. First opened in 1999 by chief designer and part owner Andrea Atalla, the desire was to capture the beauty of Arabic tradition and integrate the skill of handwork into computer-aided design.
As a result, each of their items is exclusively designed to reflect Arab heritage and the freshness of natural elements. Their collections include mainly paper products such as stationary, gift boxes, albums, and wrapping paper, all inspired by calligraphy, Islamic art, and the raw beauty of nature.
Hand-printed using silkscreen, the final touches are added through an infusion of soothing pastels or a splash of vibrant colors, which can be seen in the installation to be exhibited in Amman Design Week this September.
