This textile innovation workshop will be hands-on knitting with unusual cut-out leather. Although knitting is well-known worldwide, Esna Su will demonstrate the technique that she has created to express her ‘The Burden’ collection. This workshop has a very unique way of mixing basketry and textiles together. For this workshop, you will be taught how to make a cord from recycled leather that knits the cord with large knitting needles. Once the knitting samples are ready, the participants will have a chance to mold their own pieces.
