About the Workshop

Shams has been in the business of floral, tabletop and event design for over a decade. During this workshop, a team of designers will guide participants through the basic principles of tablescaping, how to find the correct combination of elements and materials to achieve a look that is just right and most importantly, ways to use the unexpected to create touches that will elevate any design. Spaces are limited and tickets must be purchased in advance at Shams Shop.

About Maha Dahmash

Maha Dahmash founded Shams in 2000 as a small shop selling handmade pots and plants. A self-taught florist, gardener and designer, she has grown her business into one of the most recognized local brands in design with a full service florist, gardening and design team, concept store, events venue and restaurant.

About Shams El Balad

Shams El Balad is a grassroots cafe that celebrates local craft, produce and culture. It is one of Amman's first farm to table outlets integrated into a co-working and exhibition space. The cafe offers local delicacies using fresh, organic, seasonal ingredients, directly sourced Yemeni coffee, and a variety of handcrafted tea blends.
