About the Workshop
This workshop introduces participants to the art of pottery-making, with a focus on utilizing clay and grit to create ornaments or functional pieces for daily-use purposes. Participants will learn about the stages of oven glazing and how to shape clay manually using the clay wheel, and will make one piece for each technique they learn.
About Abedellatif Dahleh
Abedellatif Dahleh is the acting director at Beit al Bawadi and Qwara Ceramic. He has been working in ceramics at Beit al Bawadi since 1996, after having received his Diploma in Ceramics from the Nour Al Hussein Foundation Diplomas in Ceramics.
About Beit al Bawadi
Beit al Bawadi produces ceramic pieces that draw on the cultural heritage of the region for inspiration. Each piece is hand-crafted by skilled artisans at the Beit al Bawadi workshop. The pieces The Beit al Bawadi ceramics project was set up by the not-for-profit Jordanian Hashemite Fund for Human Development (JOHUD).
