About the Tour

The tour will meet at Darat Al Tasweer in Jabal Al Lweibdeh and will focus on enhancing the photo documentation skills of photographers and amateurs, documenting exhibitions and cultural activities. The tour includes a short introduction to documentation and storytelling, and will then go on to join street-style photographer Yvan Rodic, also known as the FaceHunter, in a workshop on street photography. Technical, composition and lighting tips will be given throughout the tour so that participants learn new, creative documentation methods. Participants may use cameras or phones, and the tour is open to both professional photographers and amateurs.

About the Tour Guide

Linda Al Khoury was fascinated by photography as a child and began taking pictures when she was given her first 110mm compact camera. In 1998, Linda took her first course in black and white photography followed by special studies in 2002 at The Saint Spirit University in Lebanon. Linda Al Khoury established Darat Al Tasweer in 2007. She works as a professional photographer specialized in architecture while also dedicating time for her passion for the art of documentary photography and teaching. In 2013 Linda established Fann Wa Chai 'Art Gallery & Tea Bar' a cultural space in Amman that aims at engaging the public with arts and culture.
