In line with its objective to promote design as a tool for learning, Amman Design Week kicks off its first Design Thinking Workshop, led by design researcher and mentor Nada Jaffal.
The workshop, which took place over two sessions, engaged a group of participants from the INJAZ entrepreneurship school, comprised of recent graduates from universities across the Kingdom.
Participants learned how to introduce design thinking into the entrepreneurship development process, and were encouraged to explore the various ways design and materials can be used for problem-solving and to add value to their own start-ups.
Focused on collaboration and experimentation, the workshop illustrated how design thinking can be applied in any field – from design and architecture, to healthcare and product development to urban planning and beyond. Jaffal delved into the fundamentals of this creative approach by immersing the students in dynamic discussions, relevant research and team exercises.
The workshop also highlighted how the power of design thinking can be harnessed to create a path to innovation, unveil new possibilities, and make a greater contribution to any individual or organization’s future success.
