Design Institute Amman at ADW 2017

Design Institute Amman is a Jordanian institute that provides a link to the best designer and design institutes around the world, allowing it to provide the most relevant design knowledge and experience to advanced designers and beginners alike.
During Amman Design Week, the institute is opening its doors and spaces for a number of workshops facilitated by highly influential designers.
The LED Lighting Design workshop by Italian designer Filippo Protasoni gives an overall vision of the art of lighting and its related function to technicalities and style. Participants will be led through the right use of LED sources, materials and equipment, as well as the principles of correct evaluation of lighting systems.
Filippo Protasoni also offers a Furniture Design workshop where participants will be exposed to new trends in furniture and interior design, as they are led through the right use of material and technologies, defining the relationship between the product, the environment, and the cultural behavior.
The intensive Jewelry Design workshop by Carmela Pipicelli will lead the participants through the basic techniques and materials to make simple pieces.
Dina Fawakhiri teaches the fundamentals of using Adobe Illustrator in order to create illustrations from scratch and enhance hand-drawn sketches in the Digital Illustration workshop.
Filippo Protasoni will be conducting a talk during Amman Design Week entitled “Y: The Most Important Letter in Design”. It will be journey through Filippo’s work as seen through the design process and the stories that make a project valuable.
