This workshop will teach participants how to make folk instruments Shababa and Nay from local resources at a minimal cost. Participants will also learn about the popular heritage of musical instruments, the Dabkeh and its relationship with folk music, and folk music’s role in social life and culture.

An immersive space with a carefully designed speaker system takes visitors on a journey through the sounds of materials, machines, human interactions, and other components that go into the creation of a design product, whether an item of furniture, piece of clothing, or an aesthetically pleasing dish.

Seeking out the handmade, this interactive exhibition reveals the human touch. The objects on display are the result of a 10-week collaborative effort which brought artisans and designers residing in Jordan together to explore the roots of the design process and the drive behind creating objects with meaning.

Photographer Amer Hammad introduces essential food photography tips and styling techniques. After this workshop participants will be able to take better food pictures and learn how to use props in food styling and photography.
