Join us to experience the art of the traditional weaving technique, “coiling”, explored in a contemporary sense using non-traditional materials. The coiling technique is used to make a tray in the Middle East and mostly starts from a center point by wrapping up bunches of reeds and securing them with stronger fibers. This workshop will give you an opportunity to push the boundaries of traditional craft more freely. You will be able to experiment with plants as well as fabrics, plastic bags and found objects.
