This workshop teaches the basics of the art of Origami, and how to create different shapes and designs using Origami paper and recycled magazines and newspapers. Through the sessions, participants will learn soft skills like time management, teamwork, problem-solving skills and creativity. ​

Nahla Tabbaa’s first tour features a walk through ‘Shabsogh’ street, home to a number of industries like silk screen paint, pigment shops, and an assortment of fabric shops with endless prints and patterns.

Omniplan’s first ever V-Ray Day in Jordan will feature sessions on all the latest and expected releases, and a sneak peek at future developments. Participants learn about V-Ray for Revit and the coming V-Ray 3 for Rhino and SketchUp.

Participants of this workshop will receive an introduction to basic garden design, and will be asked to come up with an abstract drawing that will be transformed into a garden plan. Participants will learn a simplistic method of transforming shapes into garden areas and plans.

A discussion around the value of urban farming, explaining its techniques and environmental and social impact. The discussion is followed by a visit to the urban farming project done by Greening the Camps, located on the roof of Jadal for Knowledge and Culture.

As Amman looks to institutionalize resilience planning citywide, Resilience by Design University (RBD_U) is an opportunity for academics, students and practitioners to come together through a two-day event focused on Amman’s challenges of water, waste and transportation.
