Taghmees Social Kitchen is a homegrown recipe, a medium for learning that brings people, stories and food together to reclaim life and create meaning outside of dominant narratives.

The tour will meet at Darat Al Tasweer in Jabal Al Lweibdeh and will focus on enhancing the photo documentation skills of photographers and amateurs, documenting exhibitions and cultural activities.

Facilitated by the women of the Association of Iraq Al Amir Women, this hands-on workshop teaches students how to create useful and decorative ceramic molds from the casings and shells of various fruits. Kids will also learn how to color the molds using a specific technique. The molds can then be painted and transformed into decorative home accessories or bowls.

CLUSTER presents their mapping initiative platforms and projects that map and archive the changing political and urban landscape in Cairo, and offer a preview of their collaborative mapping projects in Amman, done in collaboration with Studio-X Amman and Columbia University's Center for Spatial Research.

In this workshop, Amal presents her personal experience dealing with waste and speaks about the challenges and benefits of recycling and finding creative ways to reuse waste. Participants will learn creative ways to repurpose waste, and should bring recyclable items, like water bottles, juice containers and food cans.

In partnership with Zikra Initiative and under the supervision of Husam Manasrah, a collection of patchwork by women from Jdeta Village will be exhibited. The Arabic term JODL has been long used as the common word for the traditional sitting mat in Palestine and Jordan, made from patches of fabric and old clothes, forming a variety of colors, designs and sizes commensurate with its use.

The two-day workshop aims to provide an understanding of fashion design through three-dimensional experimentation. Students will learn about the principles of fashion design by experimenting with fabric directly onto the mannequin, allowing for an instant visualization of ideas, as they would appear on the body.

This workshop introduces globally recognized crystalline glazing techniques to artists. The workshop will include a slideshow of artists and their work, samples of pots and ceramic designs and an exhibition of different steps, tools and equipment needed. The workshop will end with a question and answer session.

Design thinking is the process in which an idea becomes a reality. The talk by the founder of Jobedu, Tamer AlMasri, will discuss the design process adopted by Jobedu, and the different variables taken into consideration while developing design direction.

This workshop facilitated by Razan Jilani and Jude Abdelhadi teaches participants how to use the world’s most popular graphics and photo editing software. The workshop will explain the various features and tools of Adobe Photoshop CC, increasing participants’ ability to understand and retain the information they need to use the software.​

‘Lines of Memory’ is a jewelry and art collection inspired by longevity and strength of the olive tree. Visitors will have the chance to share their opinions, learn about the design process and the various techniques used.

Learn how to photograph art products using creative ideas and techniques with an easy portable studio setup, using a camera or a cellphone to help promote products on all visual media networks.
