Suliman Innab is a principal architect at Morph-X Design Studio. He is passionate about design in general, and details in specific, which is reflected in many of Innab’s accomplished interior projects and customized furniture pieces.
Innab also lectures in universities and has participated in several design juries. He recently displayed his work at international exhibitions, such as Milan Design Week 2015, Design Junction London 2015, and Design Junction New York.
In his showcased series, Sophisticated Simplicity - 40’s collection, Innab creates elegant compositions reflected by the fusion of metal and marble. These pieces are created with different finishes, in a minimal framework of geometry.
In another piece in collaboration with his sister Nuha Innab, the duo are creating a cube, exploring the potential of a material. Between soft and solid, weak and strong, and the transformation from a two dimensional surface, to a three dimensional space, which is a cube.
The work also explore the simplicity of the basic form of a cube, and the mild shift in the inner cube is a representation of the three dimensional possibilities within this form.
Nuha Innab is an architect born in Kuwait and based in Amman. She obtained her master’s degree in Urbanism from Germany and Cairo, focusing on the topic of ‘Contextualizing the Right to the City’. She is interested in the influence of socio-political forces on the cityscape, and the citizen-state-city relation in Amman and other Arab cities.
