Katia Al Tal launches her latest Nuwa Creations collection, inspired by Sufi traditions. Katia’s set of delicate ceramic dervishes will be presented in an installation to kick off her new collection.

This exhibition comes as a continuation of Bader Mahasneh’s search of the aesthetics of the human figure within the different visual contexts and combinations.

Facilitated by the women of the Association of Iraq Al Amir Women, this hands-on workshop teaches students how to create useful and decorative ceramic molds from the casings and shells of various fruits. Kids will also learn how to color the molds using a specific technique. The molds can then be painted and transformed into decorative home accessories or bowls.

This workshop teaches the basics of the art of Origami, and how to create different shapes and designs using Origami paper and recycled magazines and newspapers. Through the sessions, participants will learn soft skills like time management, teamwork, problem-solving skills and creativity. ​

As part of Amman Design Week's efforts in engaging designers with the urban environment and using our platform to create conversations about derelict or abandoned spaces in the city, Amman Design Week invites leaders in urban design and activism to a panel discussion. Taking place at the Children’s Museum Jordan’s Tinker Lab, this workshop is designed for children to tinker with old toys and transform them into new creations. Each participant will choose a toy, deconstruct it, and then reconstruct it again to create an new invention.

Inspired by Congo Square in New Orleans, THE COLOR EXPERiMENT redesigns Blue Fig Underground to focus on the musical heritage and to pay cultural tribute to an underground subculture that tells a story of liberation. Serving upscale street food and alternative entertainment, this space offers an experience beyond mainstream culture.

Seeking out the handmade, this interactive exhibition reveals the human touch. The objects on display are the result of a 10-week collaborative effort which brought artisans and designers residing in Jordan together to explore the roots of the design process and the drive behind creating objects with meaning.
