The Raghadan Tourist Terminal transforms into a social space exploring the importance of craft in issues of empowerment, self-expression and storytelling. Curated by architect Dina Haddadin, this exhibition offers a holistic link between culture, heritage and contemporary craft through a series of pop-up shops, demonstration booths, design installations and a local food component.

Learn the basics of papermaking using natural, local materials and the traditional techniques of the craftswomen of Iraq al Amir. Participants will experiment with fallen palm leaves, grass, flowers, sumac, red henna, saffron, rose leaves, paprika, tea and local coffee.

Using the traditional techniques of textile-dyeing used by the women of Ghor Al Safi, this workshop introduces participants to the use of local, natural dyes in creating beautiful patterns on cloth. On the shores of the Dead Sea, the Ghor El Safi Women Association for Social experiments with innovative arts and crafts.

This workshop is open to all, and provides a learning experience in embroidery and upcycling, where participants learn the creative process behind {Kees Chic} and produce chic handmade coasters following the Islamic Pattern.
